Recommend a hotel in Austin, TX?
I have to set up travel for a few people and need to get a few good recommendations - I'm sure I can find stuff on Orbitz or wherever, but if anyone has personal experience, yays or nays, to tell me about that'd be great.

Can be in the $200-300 per night range - these folks have an expense account/per diem that is pretty generous.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? I like these people, and making them happy/comfortable will be good for my business.

1. For that kind of money, I recommend the Driskill.

3. Built by an old cattle baron, so, yeah!
It's been extensively remodeled, and it's NICE inside.

5. You're welcome!
The regular rooms aren't HUGE, but they are nice. Plus, it's right downtown - lots to see and do.

The Omni and Four Seasons are also downtown and very nice from what I hear.

7. that's where I would stay if I had the money.
Its right off 6th street where all the action is at night.
My hotel stays in Austin are more in the $50 range.

6. Another vote for the Driskill
Right on 6th, so there's no lack of things to do. Just about staggering distance from everything.
