3. I've actually heard analysts say that it's best not to upgrade to Vista
Just wait until you buy your next computer and it will be pre-installed. Older computers are probably not powerful enough to handle Vista, plus you'll be causing all kinds of compatibility problems.

4. You're so far behind you're ahead of the curve
No company in their right mind would roll out Vista across their entire network tomorrow.

9. I believe Micro$oft is about to pull the plug on support for Windows 2000
Which is probably why your workplace is finally upgrading to XP. I used to work in an office which was behind the times as well. When I left there in August of 2005, they were still running Windows 2K pro and Office 2000 on all existing PC's, although they would add new machines to the network that were pre-installed with XP. Even the Windows 2000 upgrades didn't come until sometime around mid 2003.... it was all Windows 98 running on a haphazard collection of Novell NetWare servers before that.

7. A Mac user would ask: "Windows?" "What is Windows?" "Windoze?"
I have an old pc that still runs fine on Windows ME, but I currently use a pre-Intel Mac Mini. I love the maintenance free surfing although I have never indiscriminately downloaded anything on either my pc or my Mac and have never had a virus.
