Church's Sex-Themed Billboard Raising Eyebrows
<snip>

FORT MYERS: A controversial marketing campaign is catching the attention of drivers in south Fort Myers. The billboard is for the website mycrappysexlife.com, but the slogan isn't the only hot topic. The mystery billboard belongs to a local church.

Next Level Church in Fort Myers is going where few churches have gone before - between the sheets.

"The first week we're going to talk about the best sex you'll ever have. We're going to go right at it right out of the gate," said Next Level Church Pastor Matt Keller.

It's not your average message. Sex and the church rarely go hand and hand.

But it's also not your average church.

Keller started mycrappysexlife.com to promote a six-week seminar on relationships including sex, the single life, and pornography.

"We realize that they culture is talking about this but in a lot of ways the church is silent," said Keller.

Which is precisely why so many find it so shocking, and some find it offensive.

"Sounds pretty crude for people who have to drive by with their kids and look at it," said driver Bill Staats.

1. A church in Charlotte has jumped onto the sex crazy band wagon.
Church Responsible for “Sex Crazy" Billboard

A church in Matthews is taking an unconventional approach in an effort to lure people to attend services.

Charlotte South Fellowship has put up a billboard at the corner of Highway 74 and Interstate 485 which reads "Sex Crazy." It also includes their Web site address.

The billboard is an attempt by the church to draw attention to an upcoming church series.

The “Sex Crazy” series starts February 4 and will explore sexuality in today’s culture and offer guidance in dealing with tough issues.

Lead Pastor Kenny Hibbard said, “At Charlotte South, we’ve always done things a little outside of the box so that we can talk about real issues that people face each day.”
