Windows Vista - The Beginning of the End for M$
Yes, they will still be around and have a signficant market share, but they won't be the behemoth that they were in the past. Think IBM. Think GM. Big brand names, but other products and other companies will leave them behind. Gates will still be the richest man on the planet.

However, I forsee Linux becoming the world's default operating system. Much of the new tech development will be happening overseas, and these countries won't pay a king's ransom for an operating system.

1. Japan and India seem pretty excited about it
And it's price range isn't that far off of XPs.

This prediction has been made before, we're all still waiting.
