both think 9-11 was unpreventable, both were endorsed by the NRA, both are against affirmative action, both think the Confederate flag in government are states rights issues, both are against a single payer health insurance, both are undisciplined speakers on the stump whose handlers often have to go back and reinterpret to the rest the world what they "really" meant, both rely on their legendary campaign managers more than themselves, both seem obsessed with raising money, both went to private schools then on to college in the Ivy League, both think they can speak Spanish, both have wives who stay in the background, both have kids who get into trouble with alcohol and both have used the Iraq war to divide America. That's a start.
