J. Lo defends TomKat and Scientology

Jennifer Lopez has jumped to the defense of TomKat’s wedding — and their sometimes controversial religion.

The singer/dancer/actress raised eyebrows when she was spotted at the star-studded nuptials in Italy — and started speculation that she’s considering converting to Scientology, the religion embraced by Tom Cruise, as well as Lopez’s friend, “King of Queens” star Leah Remini.

But Lopez doesn’t need the “King of Queens” star to show her the Scientology ropes: her father is a member, and she’s irked that people criticize and ridicule the religion.

“I, myself, am Catholic,” Lopez told Southern Florida’s NBC 6. “My dad has been a Scientologist for 20 years. It’s weird people want to paint it in a negative way.”

Now I have a good reason to hate J. Lo.

I hate cults.

Scientology is one of the worst. L. Ron Hubbard was a decent SciFi writer and he figured out how to make bunches of bucks off his skill and then be started to believe it himself. (He actually was a pretty good B Grade SciFi writer.) These people are idiots to not get that they are just living in one man's delusion.
