Courtney Love to replace Paula Abdul on Idol?
If this is true i would start watching, probably not true though.
http://www.usmagazine.com/courtney_love_1
Simon, Paula, Randy and ... Courtney??? Hold on to your remotes, Idolites, because legendary rock idol Courtney Love tells Usmagazine.com exclusively that American Idol wants her!

Love reveals to her favorite magazine Web site that Idol's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe called her office last week inquiring into whether she would be interested in sitting in as a judge on the hit FOX show.

"He called," Love tells Usmagazine.com. "He was wondering if I was interested. I thought it was kind of weird but brilliant."

Is FOX lining up a replacement for slap-happy Paula Abdul, or just looking to spice up the show with the always-entertaining rocker/actress? Love, who is currently in L.A. recording a solo album, declined to reveal any more specific details.

But a source tells Usmagazine.com that Lythgoe was considering having Love "replace Paula."

American Idol reps could not immediately be reached for comment.

1. uh...
from what I get, Love's life is a mess.

She seems bright enough in interviews I've seen, but...any show bringing her on on a permanent basis is asking for trouble, it seems to me.

4. She might end up replacing Simon.
He's the one who looks most pissed off of the three. I watched some of this evening's show (don't ask...I was knee-deep in my computer's guts and the remote control was across the room when American Idle came on), and Simon had a "I can't believe I'm doing this. Someone please shoot me" look on his face throughout. He repeatedly asked what the hell the show had turned into and the shots of him in the background when one of the other judges was talking looked like a suicide victim contemplating his last bottle of pills.

I think he's realizing that every even minorly talented person in America has already been on the show and the only thing left are the hopeless and the deranged.

9. Simon getting tired of his place on the show?
Simon's job on the show is to be an absolute wanker - to pull his tiny pee-pee out and piss all over the few remaining embers of someone's dream. Has he suddenly become self-aware?

15. Yeah, I think he's finally realized that being nasty...
...to the pageant of misfits that parade in front of him on AI is about as challenging as torturing baby seals, so he's bored. I suppose even watching people whimper gets old after awhile.

6. They often have guest judges sit in during the competition
Not sure this means anything except they want her to "sit in" as a judge.

10. That's what I'm betting, too
However, last year, apparently if Paula didn't shape up, Deborah Gibson was apparently going to be tapped to take over as the third AI judge. That would have been a good choice.

7. Couldn't they work out an alcoholic job-share agreement...
...so that whichever one was conscious could do that night's show?

11. She's a well-respected (and successful) choreographer
And, when she isn't whacked out from pills and/or alcohol, she's by far the most perceptive of the judges.

12. Why?
Courtney Love is even more spaced-out and strung out than Paula is.

14. Then, just rename it "Courtney on Your Coat Tails"
The nation looks for a musician talented enough to sell enough albums to pay for feeding, lodging, and drugging Courtney Love. There would be plenty of seasons between imminent divorces and "suicides," nudge-nudge, wink-wink.
