The Second City troup at the Flamingo in Las Vegas is... to die for!
The group that got its start in Chicago is still alive and well and doing improvisations that gave us big laughs tonight! You probably remember such "graduates" as Mike Nichols, Elaine May, Alan Arkin, Joan Rivers, Robert Klein, John Belushi, Bill Murray, Dan Akyroid, Martin Short and on and on.

They aren't here anymore, but there are a bunch more comedians in training to keep you interested.

If you get to Las Vegas, be sure to check it out if you like comedy.

Their web site is:

1. Second recommendation if you planning to come to Vegas... Comedian George Wallace is great!
Edited on Sat Feb-03-07 09:56 PM by Radio_Lady
George Wallace has been around since the 1970s, and his four year old Vegas act is loose and liberal -- and he has outlasted that other, the now-deceased George Wallace, white Alabama Governor and former bigot!

The comeday format varies nightly as he plays with the audience, and gives away some great prizes.

Opening act is another comedian, rotund (but not as big as a few years ago) New Yorker Max Alexander does a wonderful turn.

All of this is at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino.

Enjoy!

2. I've seen George Wallace before in Los Angeles -- he is very funny.
Next time I go to Vegas I will have to check out Second City AND George Wallace.

3. Hi Driver8... tell the studio to give you some time off! Here's what happened in Las Vegas...
I came out ahead financially.

I didn't gamble at all, and, to top it off, I found a quarter in the Hilton swimming pool!

I'm a winner! Hooray!
