Has anyone ever improved their eyesight through eye exercises?

There are books on this. I've looked at them but never tried the exercises.

1. I'm afraid of eye exercises
The last thing I need is to bulk up my eyeballs. I think that they're at a good weight right now, so that's where I'm staying.

3. I've heard a lot of commercials on the subject but little data
In principle it seems sound, since they've used eye patches for decades to force one eye to do more work, thereby strengthening it.

Part of the problem, I think, is that not all eye problems are ther result of weak or weakened muscles, so exercise won't really help.

5. Weird..I was just thinking about this topic.
I heard the commercial where the guy claims we can exercise our eyes to get back into shape and then we won't need glasses.

I seriously doubt his claim.

A good friend purchased the "See-Clearly Method" kit for doing just that. I have known this guy for over 20 years, and when he hit the 2nd half of his thirties he had to wear eye glasses.
Well, all I can say is that he is not wearing his eye glasses now and he seems quite happy about it.
He says it works. I have worn eye glasses since my early teens, maybe I should give it a try!
The only negative thing he said about it was that doing the exercises cause a kind of soreness when you start out. He described it as being similar to muscle soreness that shows up after you have a good workout. He also said it subsides fairly quickly.

On the flip side, my sister had LASIK eye surgery just a month or so ago. She's thrilled! She also described a similar mild soreness that shows up a few days later. According to her, the doctor told her that this is perfectly normal. Parts of the eye are forced to get into shape after being lazy for a long time.

Hope this helps.
