Man In His 60's Kills Attacking Pit Bull With Bare Hands
<snip>
A man in his early 60s killed a pit bull that was attacking him in Montgomery County.

Von Pardue was taking a walk when the animal attacked him. He managed to fight back and dragged the dog clamped onto his hand back to his home nearby and asked his wife to call 911.

Pardue says the dog went straight for his face.

"I was grabbing him by the head and neck trying to keep him from biting me. He was just all the time chewing and chewing," he said. "He bit me on the hands and arms. I knew I had to get him or he was going to kill me."

He managed to get loose from the dog and then held the dog's neck tight until authorities arrived at the scene. When police arrived, they asked him to release the dog slowly. The dog was motionless and they determined he choked the dog to death.

He suffered some bites to his hands and arms, but is expected to recover.

4. I would not mess with that guy!
From the article: "I just had him like this and had him by the collar and head and you know, flipped him around here and held him and banged on the door."

:scared:

5. With a dog like that....
It's very often kill or be killed. Cowering is definitely the wrong thing to do with ANY dog attack. Most animals will back down from a human that is obviously standing his or her ground, but when they don't- Fight like a banshee!!!
