I'm getting kicked at the moment!
I think its my son -- he's wiggling around something fierce, and just kicking up a storm! In fact, I'm watching my belly "jump" and its weird!!! Now his sister has joined in on the other side of my belly!!!

Being pregnant is weird. :) So far my favorite parts are the ultrasounds, and this "hi, mom!" stuff. I'm not fond of the vomiting stuff (which is still being controlled by my Zofran pump), and every now and then they find a really PAINFUL spot to wedge themselves in -- fortunately, my hubby figured out that "ice packs" can get them to move really quickly! (Yup, we're torturing them early!)

I'm a hormonal mess, but other than that, things are going well -- we're at 29 weeks now! Woo Hoo!

:woohoo:

1. Wow, time is flying. 29 weeks already?
That's terrific.
If you haven't seen them already, check this thread for the most recent twins born to a Lounger.

2. It is wierd - and cool
I remember being able to make out the shape of my son's foot perfectly imprinted on my belly from the inside. It was so cool.

There's a lot about being pregnant that's uncomfortable and awkward but mostly I really loved it. And I always felt sorry for my husband because he had no idea how neat it was to feel that little person growing inside you.

3. Oh, yes, the kicking stuff!
My daughter didn't kick a whole lot, but she liked to hang from my ribs. OUCH!

And at night (of course) when I was trying to go to sleep, she'd start "dancing" all over the place. Sometimes I wondered if I had an alien growing inside me!

Ida, I'm so happy that your kids are doing well. I hope you get through the remainder of the pregnancy in relative comfort.

5. There is nothing sweeter and simultaneously painful as a foot
stuck in da ribs.

I used to watch defined toes nearly stretch through that little fat bump area that lies on the rib just under the breasts...my son was a traverse baby so he KILLED me with his feet/toes/baby toenails.

For anyone who has been laid open by those cute little soft nails of babies, you know how sharp they are! My son has small scar still under his own eye caused by his own flailing around and his own fingernail, and the inside tip of my nose has a beauty from his nails...even though I kept them bitten off short (we did not have fancy baby nail clippers back in the 80's), they were still a menace.

After the fingernail incidents, whenever he was not interested in sucking his hand, I kept little socks or mittens on his hands to save us all.

Sigh...my son was conceived approximately 27 years ago this coming week...I am nostalgizing!

6. Congrats on the twins!!!
hope that all continues well for you.

My son didn't move around a whole lot. Usually only when the Dr would push on him with the ultrasound. LOL. Anyway, I loved being prego. I can't wait to do it again...*sigh*

7. Whew. Must be a load off your mind.
That you're at 29 weeks, that is. And how efficient--a boy and a girl. One stop shopping.
