Milwaukee (and people who are willing to schlep) DUers: Get together?

I feel left out. DC and California and NY and Chicago all have their get-togethers.
We need one in Southeastern Wisconsin. And I know there are lots and lots of area DUers. I've even met a bunch of you. So I know you're out there.

So, whatdya say? Time? Place?

There is a place called Conihitos's Place (or something like that)
on National. Four bucks for a rib plate and 1.65 for a margarita.
Excellent place. Cheech Marin drops by when he is in town.
Milwaukee's best kept secret.

It is a little far for me to drive by myself, especially in winter. I am still a novice driver. I wish that my husband was more supportive of my DUing.
Do I want people to meet me in person? I don't want to disappoint anyone.
Let me know if one is held. My chances of showing up would increase if it were held on a weekend and I didn't have to drive through a scary traffic area, like those high highways that go through town (I'd be coming from the north), or it is held at or right before a rock concert that my best friend would be interested in attending.

6. From what I can see

Many schleppers are farther from Milwaukee than you are from Chicago. I agree that schlepping in winter in these parts, especially if you want to down a couple of Milwaukee's finest, is not safe, but maybe we could try to start to plan out a mega-metro area DU get together for Milwaukee, Chicago and NW Indiana DUers sometime in spring or early summer.

I have no qualms about traveling to Milwaukee, I live in Lake Co., Il. and venture into the land of cheese often enough, but probably would not for a dinner. Let's all of us southern Lake Michiganers keep an eye on schedules for shrub fundraisers that are bound to come and get a bunch together for a protest and meetup.

By the way, I am an organizer for an annual golf outing every 3rd Friday in August at South Hills in Franksville (Racine exit on 294.) It is open to all and affilliated with nothing except peeps out for a fun day. If anyone is interested, please PM me and I can send you a flyer.
