In fact, after a mad scramble through the house, looking for every old pair of glasses I have stashed, I found a pair from a few years ago that I can actually see though.. I bought a pair of those generic dimestore reading glasses for the close up , and they work pretty well..

Today I was able to reduce the magnification on my computer screen too..

I have no delusions that it has "gone away", but the medicine seems to be working, and even though I do not see well enough to drive, it's a blessing to at least not be afraid to fall asleep.. (I was so afraid that since every day it had gotten worse, one day I would wake up and it would be gone ..)

This damned thing is a forever "condition", but apparently the sight is not as damaged, as we feared..

The dr said that it's vastly improved.. I go back next week, and I sure hope it's even better then..

The positive energy from you all had to be a mitigating factor:):):loveya:..

5. Last week I had to call a meeting at the bowling league to tell everyone

and to ask them to write plainer and bigger if possible.. It was very hard to do, since it was all so "fresh" ,and I got a little weepy.. There must have been 30 people who came up to me and asked what they could do to help.. Since I cannot drive, I have volunteers galore for rides..(Last night I was chauffeuered in a brand new cadillac :))

I hesitated about having a meeting, but I knew that it was better to tell everyone at once, than to have everyone come to me individually.(there are NO secrets in OUR bunch )..:)

I'm sorry I didnt get to post in your original thread about this, but I can only begin to imagine what it must feel like to fear losing your sight.
I had acute Uveitis when I was pregnant and was told at the time that it is a potentially sight threatening condition. I never truly considered, though, just how devastating that could be.
All good thoughts go out to you, and I'm soooo glad to hear that things are improving.
We would miss you here, more than you probably realize, if you ever had to stop posting.
