Crossword puzzle chuckle

43 Down. "First felon". Four letters.

My first thought was... but no, it couldn't be "Bush*", because then the clue would've had to read "First Felon", with the second F capitalized like the L in First Lady.

Besides, I already had the N filled in, in "Cain"...

Ironic that it was #43? Or was there some intentional placement by someone making the crossword, I wonder?

A "subliminable" message on my part, I guess.

Y'know, "43 Down" would not be a bad screen name, along the lines of "86 43"! :-)
