I am SO proud of my husband....
Last night he found out that he got an internship as an animator at DNA Studios (Jimmy Neutron). This internship will be a great notch in his belt for our next step: PIXAR!!!

He only has three months left in school and then we can move the hell out of Dallas. I am so excited for him. I thought I would share my joy.

If you'd like to see samples of his work click on the link in my sig line.

2. thanks...
I've pretty much always figured I'd have a job and not a career. I am so happy that the steps to making his dream come true are taking shape. Maybe if he gets a job at Pixar I can get a job out there doing back up voice work. Now THAT would be a great CAREER.

3. Wow!!! That is too cool!
There's a guy from my high school graduating class who does speculative spaceship design but I've never known anyone who did animation!

Way cool and congratulations!!!

Remember us on DU when your hubby makes the big time!!!! Let us know the first movie he works on and I'll go see just to support a fellow DUer! Although I like most of what PIXAR has done anyway.

5. Terrific! Where'll you be moving to?
You can ask DU'er's for advice on housing. For the LA area, for instance, Altadena is a very pleasant, well-mixed neighborhood. Or Glendale. Or Eagle Rock.

22. we sure hope so....
I can't think of a better end result of our three years of hell in Dallas than to have him get a job at Pixar after he graduates.

That way when our son starts school and they ask him where his Daddy works, he can say "My daddy is an animator at the place that made Toy Story and Finding Nemo!"

Until then he has an internship at a big time studio and we hopefully only have three to six months left in this shithole of a city.
