Stupid Guy sues cable company because he's a lazy bum....
Edited on Thu Jan-08-04 08:28 AM by Loonman
...because of cable.

Cable TV made a West Bend man addicted to TV, caused his wife to be overweight and his kids to be lazy, he says.

And he’s threatening to sue the cable company.

Timothy Dumouchel of West Bend wants $5,000 or three computers, and a lifetime supply of free Internet service from Charter Communications to settle what he says will be a small claims suit.

If this doesn't get thrown right out of court, I'm giving up.

I feel for whichever lawyer has to represent this clown.

1. This is beyond asinine.
Hell, no wonder there are calls for reform of the legal system in this country with this idiotic lawsuit.

2. He's suing because sitting on his butt made him fat...
and he'll settle for something that will make him sit on his butt even more?

Uhh...yeah.

3. Cable company should turn around and countersue him
For extortion and wrongful prosecution.

4. No lawyer "has to" represent him
It would be nice if none would take the case, but you can usually find one willing to file frivolous suits.

5. Stupid...
I heard of a woman who sued a company that makes microwave ovens because -after a rainy day- she "put her cat in the microwave oven to dry" thus causing the cat to explode. (poor thing)

Ironically she won the case and now 90% of microwaves should say "do not place animals inside to dry" (or something similar)

Stupid stuff...
