Our society is one which objectifies and puts a price tag on everything. Labor, art, ideas...all of these are for sale. That is the by-product of capitalism. As long as you live in a capitalist society, that is de reguer.

Now, sex and even love has become a commodity in our culture. This is inevitable - no amount of religion will stop it (and if you want something truly anti-capitalist, try the Bible, the Koran or the Torah.) You cannot get rid of this just by banning sex on TV, or making women wear burkhas. This is hand in hand with capitalism itself - women and men dress themselves up as objects, to further market themselves.

I am not making a value statement - I'm just spelling out the nature of a capitalistic society.

So when someone complains that they are being treated like a 'piece of meat', they are right - but that is to be expected. You cant tell a capitalistic society that it is OK to sell one thing, but not another - it runs contrary to the marketplace philosophy that drives it.

So when men look for women based on chest size, or women see men only in terms of earning potential - they are objectifying and living true to their capitalistic selves.

image/persona of a billionaire who is chick bait. It's irrelevant whether or not he "enjoys" their company. The cameras are rolling and snapping him with his entourage and that's for publicity.

The gaggle of models surrounding Trump is like his pretended image that he is a bon vivant and indulges in only tasteful endeavors. This balloon was popped by his own daughter, Ivanka, who said on television that The Donald prefers to go home early from parties, if he goes out at all, and would rather eat Chef Boy-Ar-Dee ravioli (canned) than gourmet meals.

What a fake. Purely PR persona.
