Who watched the show on abc about Bob Woodruff?
How sad is that? All of those injuries.I always am so sad for the fallen soldiers that sometimes I forget the injured ones. How awful of me!

This is such a shame! Not me, but this war!

1. Really classy stuff.
At what I assume was Woodruff's urging, at least half the program was devoted to sobering footage of Iraq veterans with similar brain trauma (and without the level of treatment Woodruff's cush job affords him). I'd always taken the guy for an anchor-bot, but this was very effective.

2. I missed the ABC show, but he was on Larry King this evening.
They also had his wife on, as well as the cameraman who was also injured, and several other people. It was a very good show, and I am in awe of the progress he has made in recovering from such horrendous injuries.

4. Yes it was. It really gave me a whole new perspective on this war.
Not that I needed one. I was already against it, but I guess seeing it and watching the suffering tends to piss you off again. Re-lit that fire in me, so to speak.

9. Same here,
I surfed emotional waves of sadness, and anger throughout the show, especially when Woodruff started seeing the other patients with brain trauma...

5. I watched it on Wednesday night...
I was horrified and saddened and so glad that finally these soldiers who have come home injured are getting the recognition and hopefully the attention...they're not being swept under a rug or shoved into an 'oops' closet somewhere.

6. You are so right! I was so focused on all those innocent lives
being taken, that I lost sight of those who are dealing with some major shit. Awful!

7. He's on Letterman right now.
I'm sad he got hurt but there are many many soldiers injured
who aren't getting the same attention and that riles me!

8. But the whole point is that is he bringing attention to those soldiers.
That is what he is out there doing.

10. I don't think it was the whole point.
His story has been on tv for the last three days.

Yes! He brought attention to Walter Reed Hospital. That's a great thing.
I agree but he was also telling his story, over and over and so was his wife.
Morning, noon and night and late night. My point is that the soldiers do not
and have not received that much attention at all, before this.
That to me is a real shame...
