On the barricades

Should a violent insurrection break out tomorrow and we all had to man the barricades to save ourselves from the Bush's fascist juggernaut, what would you arm yourself with?

I would probably go for a pike or a halberd. Simple but effective.

here in the states, people would be digging up their automatic weapons in their backyards. They would also be buying up on fertilizer from the local hardware store to make some bombs.

6. Harpoon!!!

A brilliant weapon. I think the combination of harpoon and pike is deadly effective. As long as your opponent isn't armed with a trident. I mean the three pronged trident, not the nuclear missile, although that is pretty nasty too.
