1. I've mentioned "Cuban Fire!" by Kenton before.

One of the greatest Latin jazz albums ever recorded. Maybe it's not there.

Of course, I always like Jessica's selections. (Ooh! She just mentioned Jazz Crusaders!)

I went through that with beer and olives. Initially I didn't consider either of those things palatable.

Jazz appreciation can be acquired. And there's no better place than this show. You won't regret it.

They play jazz. I haven't found any samples of their sound on the web yet, without requiring registration. If you know a link I'd be grateful.

There are different opinions, but to me, the essence of jazz is improvisation and innovation. I'm not sure what "cowboy jazz" means to you. I think of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, who cut the mould for Western Swing.

Anyway, listening to Jess' program is good, because she plays a variety of music, and she's always introducing new things. I'm here almost every Saturday.
