9. Let me rub it in a little, too...
I was with MissHoneychurch when she took this photo :)

Time things change a little, no? The problem ist that when the world really should convert to the Euro everything will break down because the dollar's supremacy has been a hoax for too long. So you're pretty safe *sigh*

20. I bet Latin America probably mocked the Euro
Their own money is less desired than the american dollar in their own country

14. I like the €uro very much
It has brought economic stability and growth of trade between the member countries of the Eurozone. The European economy on the whole is stronger with the Euro than without it.

15. If only one would have the feeling - or even know -
that the prices - at least in Germany - went up quite a bit. You could get a t-shirt for DM10. But you won't get one for €5 but for €10. Which is twice as much. And that is only ONE example. Restaurants changed in there menues only the sign. The number stayed the same. It was quite a rip-off.

Don't misunderstand me though, the Euro is a good thing, but a lot of people made quite some money on the back of the everyday-people.

16. That happened in Britain in 1971
Edited on Sat Mar-03-07 04:45 PM by Anarcho-Socialist
when Britain changed its currency from the old system (£1=20shillings;£1=240pence; 1 shilling=12pence) to decimal currency. It's a shame how many abused it.
