Just you really feel for the birds.......they were taken away from their natural habitats and making a life for themselves the best they can.

4. They are a delightful surprise when one visits the hill.

I took a friend there after cautioning her that I'd never seen them in all my visits to Telegraph Hill but lo and behold, they landed in the trees right in front of us and flew off a few minutes later.

The story is wonderful, and the city is now taking steps to enable the flock to remain.
