Those adorable pictures are just what I needed to see. I've been grumpy and irritable all day. Those pictures lightened my mood. I still remember my first zoo visit. I felt so at home. I wish I could just live in a zoo. Adorable baby, btw. I would imagine I had the same look of glee and discovery and excitement on my face on my first trip. I was too busy talking to the animals to look at myself though.

I'm waxing eloquently because we just visited with some international friends last night.

One elderly grandfather was flying to his home in Baalbeck, Lebanon today. No fighting there, but no tourism, either. The family is just existing on a photography business. Hezbollah is in charge and it isn't a pretty picture. This man had to fly to France, and then on to Beirut, Lebanon. (It just got me thinking how difficult it must be for average citizens in the middle East.)

His wife stays here for another month with her two married sons and her daughter-in-law.

This daughter-in-law is from Shanghai, China. Next month, her mother arrives to visit for six months.

Two beautiful children were here with such an international background.

Damn it, can't we all just get along????
