How do you REALLY clean a pyrex baking dish?

Ya know, it gets that baked on gunk at the top and on the handles - no amount of scrubbing seems to remove it.

1. try a steel wool soap pad

It will work like a charm. Just a little elbow grease.

7. Glass is harder than steel

A steel S-O-S pad will clean it right up, and it will not harm the glass!
CAUTION! DO NOT USE ONE OF THOSE GREEN NYLON SCOTCH BRIGHT PADS!
The nylon pad will scratch the glass and ruin your dish.

2. I have found that battery acid works well

3. I use baking soda and a little water

enough to make it pasty. Non abrasive too, it does clean. I use it to clean practically all of my casserole dishes.

works on glass stove tops, pyrex, stainless steel and lots of other stuff. I find mine next to the Comet Cleanser in my local grocery store.
