MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Police say two drunk drivers collided on a road in Manchester Saturday night.
According to authorities, 30-year-old Eric Irby of Manchester was driving up Wellington Road when he crossed the center line. The car struck a Buick driven by 54-year-old Scott Buchanan also of Manchester.
Rescue crews had to cut open the car to free Buchanan. The other vehicle burst into flames after the collision. A good Samaritan used a fire extinguisher to help put out the flames.
Manchester police Capt. Richard Tracey said, ""Both drivers of both vehicles were intoxicated. Both have been charged with operating under the influence of liquor."
Both the drivers were listed in critical condition Saturday night.
A passenger in Irby's car was treated and released.
