Off to the orthopedic surgeon! Guess what he'll say... |
|
Last week Monday I was taking the dogs out and one of them stopped short on the stair. I went over him and hurt my ankle. I assumed it was just a sprain. The next day it hurt like hell so I went to the emergency room. They X-rayed it and came to the conclusion that a small sliver of the bone broke off. The doctor put me into a boot and told me to make an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon.
Today there's still swelling and it still hurts to walk sometimes. If I touch the right side of my ankle it's still hurting. My appointment is in an hour.
What do you think they'll say?

Cast for 4 weeks. Then back to boot, then away you go.

I hope your Swami is wrong.
No way I can afford to be off work for 4 weeks.
And it's just a very small sliver of bone. (Oh, how I hope you're wrong...)

with a spoon. Well, that's if your orthopod went to the mom school of medicine. Hopefully the boot is all you'll need. Good luck!!

My mom is concerned about it. She thinks it'll be bad news, too. Mom worries too much.

I tore the ligament.
I'll be off work another 1 - 6 weeks depending on how well it heals.
