16. I HATE "Family Guy" but he probably needs to make 9/11 jokes

My S.O. (who loves the show) told me that last night, they did some really tasteless 9/11 type scenarios.

But since McFarlane claims to have held a ticket for Flight 11 that crashed into the WTC, but missed his flight because he had been out drinking too late the previous night, he might have some issues to work out there.

17. Used to hate it, but it's grown on me...

Once you accept the "...remember that time I..." and "...it can't be worse than that time..." links to jokes, it's a lot more palatable.

That and accepting that his 80s references are not MEANT to be timely, but to resonate with his target demographic, it makes more sense.

Although it is weird to see video of Seth talking, sounding like Brian the dog. Somehow, it just seems ....wrong.

18. I like Family Guy but...

...I can't watch back-to-back episodes on DVD. I tried that once and the show kinda loses something when I watch it that way. It seems to wear thin real quick. One episode here and there is good.

19. It used to be good, but season 3 onward is brainless and tacky.

Seasons 1 and 2 had some vestige of a plot...

Rather like "The War at Home" - season 1 is politically incorrect and that's why it worked... but season 2 drops all attempts at any plot just so they can go south park on everybody and call each other a 'douche bag' or bleep a word every other minute...


FOX seems to think that crude language for the sake of saying it is what's funny.

SP still has a few brilliant moments, but all in all has gotten really stale. I could never get tired of Family Guy however.
