I love the Shins' new album.
I'm listening to it right now. My only complaint is that it's too short.

What do you all think?

1. I think that, somewhere, Zach Braff is sighing wistfully...
and having a good cry in his pillow. :P

Yeah, the album's pretty sweet.

2. LOL! Phantom Limb and Sea Legs are my faves so far.
I love the bass line in Sea Legs so hard.

3. I don't recall song titles -- been at least a month and a half since I heard the album --
but I remember being incredibly impressed with the first five tracks, and the album kinda gets into a rut after that -- not bad, mind you, but not incredible either. Just very typically Shins.

5. The last album was too short as well!
I got to meet them several years ago and they were all really nice guys. They talked with me for a while. I appreciated it because I really enjoy their music. It is nice when artists or people in a position of fame/moderate fame don't let it go to their heads!

6. It's no "Oh, Inverted World," but it's pretty great.

7. I love Phantom Limb and Sleeping Lessons
The rest needs to grow on me, but I haven't given it time because I can't get the Guillemots CD out of my player. You HAVE to check them out:

10. I will definitely check them out, since you and I seem to have very similar taste
in music. Thanks!

I wonder if the song Annie, Let's Not Wait is a reference to Annie Waits by Ben Folds. It's a funny coincidence if not.
