Every once in a while, someone exposes a scandal involving the war on drugs such as seizing someone's farm, home, boat or car because a third party was suing illegal drugs. Naturally, the enforcement agencies get to keep the proceeds. How about a strip search of a ten year old? Now here's where the paranoia comes in: These stories always drop from site faster than heroin down the toilet when the cops are at the door. I apparently am the last person in America who hasn't purchased or used illegal drugs (I'm too cheap, I'd rather buy books and CDs). Assuming that everyone else can be threatened with jail over past drug offenses, do you suppose police agencies quash these stories before people get mad enough to change the drug laws.
Nah, they wouldn't do that.
Would they?
