Sometimes things fall together.

So I posted on Friday about being fired by having my account turned off. Got lots of support here in the lounge but way too much advice in GD. (So if you're an advice giver and someone who loves to be right all the time, please take it somewhere else.) So I called the sick hotline at 5am this morning, unplugged the phone, and went back to sleep. Kinda slept in till noon. Then I plugged the phone back in and it started ringing.

At present count I have three interviews for appropriate jobs that start immediately - in the next two days.

The supervisor who I called a coward (from my home address) is kindly redirecting my techie subscriptions from my work account to that address.

Took my dog for a long walk in the snowy woods.

Still haven't heard a single word from the old employer, but if I get hired tomorrow (I have a very strong chance at one of these) I might actually start work on Wednesday, a day I'd be collecting vacation pay for.
