I just got mail addressed to my ex.
I don't know why somebody'd send his junk mail here. I haven't seen him in the better part of a decade and this was never his address.

Seeing his name when I'm not in the habit of thinking of him at all was strange and honestly a little unsettling.

1. That's a bummer. Mercury is in retrograde, that means people from
your past pop in unexpected. It goes forward I believe Friday. It doesn't mean anything, let it go and rack it up to just some weird cosmos thing. Sorry is startled you.

2. Hehe....Check this
My ex-ex (2 ex-es ago) and I brokeup in 1998...He's been having his mail (i.e. student loan default and collection notices to the tune of $25-30,000) sent to my parents' house for years...And then, I go home a few weeks ago, and lo-and-behold, a letter from him...in prison!

yay....exes are *such* joy.... :puke:

:hi:

3. Not to be alarmist, but...
Check your credit report, mmmkay? I had the same weird occurrence happen... the ex had been gone for years and never lived at the address I was at when I got this mail. Lo and behold, it turned out he was using not only my address, but he was also using my identity. Talk about a mess to clean up. Totally sucked trying to get that straightened out.

6. Wow. That's scary. Worse than my experience, which was bad enough
Mine was doing work under the table--not paying taxes, SS, etc. Living with his parents, using their address, etc. The IRS came looking for him on some tax stuff from before we were together. Well, my address was the only one they had for him, so they started making noises about coming after my property, money. It took a lawyer to get 'em to leave me alone, but they did. The last IRS guy I dealt with about it said they're supposed to get the money and they don't really care where it comes from. Oh, and they thought I was covering for him, until I was willing to pay a lawyer to prove otherwise.

There's a reason they're exes!!
