So I got LCD Soundsysten tickets like 5 minutes after they went on sale, the concerts not until March though.
I'm jealous you saw them, my best friend saw then too and he teases me since I missed them.

My friend got our tickets, which were general admission. We figured since the concert was at the Shrine, which is on the USC campus, people would be in line really early. So we got there about 2 hours before the concert started...and ended up front row, center!

Ray Davies - "Other Peoples' Lives" - new song from his new album - same theme as "Dirty Laundry" by Don Henley--sensationalist journalism that destroys peoples' lives. This was on a special XM show on the Fine Tuning Channel where Ray played some of his favorite songs that had influenced him, starting with Leadbelly doing "Rock Island Line", Big Bill Broonzy, Big Bill Doggett, Booker T, Otis Redding, Bela Bartok, The Beatles, Ray Charles doing "What'd I Say", and The Who.

If you've heard it.

I think it's the best thing they've done in a long time (though I also thought the '99 release on Red Ant,or Ded Ant as Rick Nielson calls them after the label folded,was decent,and a step in the right direction).The new one has a fresh sound but still sounds like it could be right after Heaven Tonight or All Shook Up.

I listen to a lot of extreme music but I've always loved Cheap Trick,and the new one is easily the biggest guilty pleasure I've had in years.

sounded pretty good. I'm the same way about Cheap Trick; a great band that can do a good pop song and well a good rocking tune.
