You wouldn't believe the jerk-off who called me today.

You wouldn't believe the dickhead that called me this morning.

I did a story last week about two men who died in a head on collision on the highway. Booze was a factor, but because both men were killed no charges were laid. I mentioned that in the article. I added it in because technically the pub could be charged. Also, it's in the police report so wether it's obvious or not, you put it in the artcle.

Some guy phones me at ten this morning, totally hammerd, and says "Hey how come you put that in, we thought it was quite comical that you would because if both guys are dead, how can you lay charges?" Then he broke out laughing, so did whoever he was in the room with. I explained to him why it was put in the article and he kept making comments that I assume he thought wee funny. He was so ripped I could barely understand him.

I don't care if he wants to critque my writing, that isn't what bothers me. What bugs me is that he could phone up and start making jokes about a horrific accident and laugh away like a hyena. Asshole. How does he know I wasn't on scene and saw the whole thing? I almost wish I was so I could have really told him off and not gotten in trouble for it.

Now here's a funny story...only in this town could you get a call from a co-worker saying they'll be late because there is three moose between her and her car.

PS: I had a friend from high school who was killed by a drunk driver. I don't find this a laughing matter.

They hissed anytime I tried to shoo them away.

that there are people in the world who think everything is a joke. The death of two individuals is never funny. Especially when they have families and friends who are devastated by their loss.

ps We don't get too many moose (mooses?) where I live. It must be spectacular to see them up close.
