personally, I try not to drink vodka. It makes me do terrible things that I don't remember in the morning.

Edited on Tue Mar-06-07 10:18 AM by northzax
straight smooth drinking? I like the Chopin (polish, though)

you also can't go wrong with Zubrowka (polish grass vodka, known for the picture of the buffalo)

a nice american one is Hangar One.

but for pure rotgut, you can't do better than the American Poland Springs (in the handle, of course) or for the real, Russian experience: aftershave.

12. TIto's, and that includes Stoli and Grey Goose.
"We're going to go out on a limb and say Tito's vodka is the smoothest we've ever tasted. That's not to say there's no better vodka out there, but between the taste and the price, which is an added bonus of a small company with low overhead and no importing costs, we're Tito's converts. We can't think of any reason, barring two broken legs and a restraining order from the liquor store, why we won't always have a bottle of Tito's in our cabinet."

14. I'm not a big vodka drinker, but had a sample of Svedka....
At Spec's Liquor Warehouse, near Downtown Houston. Free liquor & wine samples are often available!

Simply chilled--no mixers. Quite delicious. Next time I buy vodka, I'll buy Svedka.

23. Rain Vodka
It's all organic -- and it's delicious.

Very smooth, no aftertaste and the hangover is pretty much non-existent. (I think this has something to do with the organic-ness of it.)

Used to come in a black glass bottle - only recently found out it comes from my native Great White North. Calibrated to live in your freezer, pours like syrup, makes a great mix with fruit punch. :toast:

37. Vodka - it's Alcohol + Water
It's for getting drunk.

Take your pick:
Smirnoff - Russia - Potatoe based
Iceberg, Canada - Barley

Whe're not talking 10 tear old Scotch here.

It's water and alcohol.
Enjoy.

Yeah, yeah I know... Still, distilled grain alcohol + water + flavored infusions - Gin really just sort of a species of flavored vodka.

42. Svedka, hands down.
It's way cheaper than Grey Goose, but is rated an 89 - 3 points below - on some vodka-tasting survey I read about. Or something. And it's fun to get drunk off it.
