4. Yes, perhaps.
we see them frequently here - the word "majestic" comes to mind, especially when they are in flight

34. A blue heron!
We have them in my neighborhood, too. They love the creeks and the drainage ponds...and they love koi and goldfish ponds, the stinkers. :D

36. They like ponds w/ stock fish? Like, backyard ponds? Cooool...
We put out bird seed. We call it bait for the cats.

Now I'll put in a pond. We'll call it bait for Ichabod.

That's right. Ichabod Heron. ;)

39. A friend of mine ket losing koi to a blue heron visitor...
Finally, she made a hiding place for them by creating a ledge of rocks over one end of the pond. She hasn't seen him since.

I'd be tempted to feed him, myself.

5. Is the criteria tastiness?
Because ducks are very tasty - but I've actually never had goose so it might not be fair to vote. ;)

Geese are spiteful little bastards that make me want to reach for the birdshot.

9. Geese can be miserable critters
They'll bite and I've seen a flock of them chase a little kid (which admittedly was rather funny even though the kid in question was mine).

They also make a mess - goose shit is large and green and the consistency of paste. And they produce a LOT of it.

Personally, I prefer chickens.

15. Ducks. Definitely.
I've been attacked by way too many geese to like them. I don't trust the look in their wee beady eyes.
