Bill Moyer and my Computer Problems
I could use some help. I have been listening to the speach by Bill Moyers before that convention of journalists back in November by a web link for the last couple of weeks. I wanted to be able to put a copy on a disk for a friend of mine so I went to the web site of Pacifica Radio ( http://www.pacifica.org/programs/dn/031128.html ) and tried to down load it in the MP3 version. I got it started (I'm 56K on the telephone way out in the country) but an hour later it was still loading. Somehow I managed to shut down the browser and lost the file, or what I may or may not have got of it. That's the history.

Now, I've gone back to the site to try again to download the MP3 file. The thing is that now if I click on the link to download it within about 3 seconds my browser just shuts itself down. Goes blank, sends me back to my desktop. It doesn't shut down my web connection, just the browser. I am using XP.

Any help in either finding another source for this file (the Bill Moyer speach) or how to make the magic black box work, will be appreciated.

Thom

1. try right-clicking the link
then do a "save as".

Or clean out your temp. files and cookies, and try again ...

2. WOW!
Thank you very much. I just did that, but it says "Save Target As". The thing is that it then down loaded the file in about 3 seconds. Normally to down load an MP3 file that size would have taken me an hour.
