6. Hmmmm pointe shoes with heels....
Not something you see everyday. They are still probably more comfortable than the real thing though. LoL. Does it come with lambs wool? (ballet dancers wrap around toes to protect them)

10. I always preferred the toe pads over lamb's wool
but these shoes I found on eBay are something like I have never seen!

At my age, would probably need crutches to just to "walk" in them!

17. Toe pads?...those must have been after my day...
I'm freakin' old baby! I've only ever seen lamb's wool which would always split apart and not cover the one toe that hurts the most. Ouch!

Every once in awhile I will strap those suckers on me and walk around the house. My girls get a kick out of it and I get to remember the pain! LoL. I can almost smell the resin.....ahhhh.

This was in the early to late 80's. Hmmmm, maybe RI wasn't up with the times, or my studio wasn't anyway. Those look quite comfy.

And holy crap...68? You sure got me beat by...uhm I'd say 60. LoL.

I would run in the opposite direction so fast.. Well, actually I would walk at a normal pace.. That would probably be twice as fast as the person wearing those monsters could go.

edit -- I went a little crazy with the shift key..
