Has your dog ever had a epulis?

I think my little Sara has one over one of her teeth. It looks like this, but it doesnt hang down like that.

1. My old guy had one

but the vet thought it may have been an offshoot of the sino-nasal cancer he had. They are fairly common, and usually benign, but, if possible, I would have it removed, as some of them can become cancerous. We weren't able to have Amos' removed, but he was also 15 when we spotted it and he wouldn't have tolerated anesthesia well due to his age and health so we opted to watch and wait.

2. Is he a Boxer?

I have a 10 year old Boxer and he has had several of those. We have had his gums debrided three times to remove them. Apparently it is very common in that breed.

3. Sara's is a mix breed

but she looks like shepherd/lab.

The vet isn't sure and my girl is going to have a biopsy next week.
