Red Tails at Dawn and Dusk
I haven't been able to get real close to my resident hawks in about a week or so, but I have been seeing this one hawk almost every day at dawn on my way to work and then on the way home I have been seeing others. So I took my camera and tried to get a few good shots.

Dawn....

Dusk...and this pair is a male and female. The female is the larger one I believe.

Female by herself

Enjoy!

2. I just had a hawk come swooping into my yard
He or she was looking for a little breakfast -- a tasty treat from my bird feeders. Am unsure if it was successful or not, but his visit will keep the birds away for a little bit. I love your bird pictures. Thank you for sharing. :hi:

4. It could be a Cooper's Hawk.
They are small hawks that eat the smaller songbirds usually. Thanks for the kind words.

3. Thanks!
I love Red Tail Hawks--they don't get all cool PR--but they are the raptors I see the most. And other than seeing an eagle snag a fish once or twice red tails are the only ones I've gotte to see hunting.
