8. you took mine. Thong showing pants too. Funny story about that...
We had gone to an elementary school concert my husband's niece was in. My son was about one. This woman satin front of us and she was wearing those low rider pants and when she sat her shirt rode up her back and her thong was showing. I mean REALLY showing. My son was standing behind her. He was at that age when he was still holding on to everything as he walked and well, you guessed it. He went to take a couple steps and grabbed right on to the back of her thong for support. She stood up pretty quickly.

My son, daughter and I were at the playground when we first moved down here, and there was this woman there, with her child, who was dressed like that. Seing my son there, she made a big production of repeatedly bending over.

My son (who was 15 at the time) mutters under his breath to me, "Nice pirate patch!"

I've already alerted my daughter to that. If any boy comes to the door looking for her with pants that hang low, the pants WILL get stapled up before he can see her.

and then start referring to them as 'piggy-bank-butt'...works every time.

Of course, I'd suggest not trying this with anyone other than a family member or someone that you know very, very well. Some people might take offense.

Go figure.

even the ones I don't like are at the very least good for laughing and pointing, which seems to be a hobby of mine. And yes, I am aware that people laugh and point at me, and have even encouraged it at various times in my life, and I don't mind at all. Whatever brings a little more laughter into the world I guess... So go ahead and make fun of my plaid pants and striped shirts. :)

I don't mind flip flops, if people would tend to their feet before wearing them. Sadly a lot of people don't.

I don't want to see someone's dried, cracked heels exposed like that. Or corns so big it looks like another toe. EEEWWWWW!
Or toe nail polish that isn't kept up. If the polish is chipped or your toe nails have grown out so that only half of them are still polished, take the damn stuff off!

Just thinking about the nasty feet invasion that is fast approaching makes me ill. :puke:

Calling hubcaps "rims". Wearing any kind of hat indoors. Any and all recording artists that don't know how to read and write music. Clothes for animals. Designer clothes for toddlers...

I hate those damn things. Just an ER visit waiting to happen. I was at Buffalo Wild Wings last week and saw a kid almost take out a server with a full tray of food. How she didn't drop everything is behind me. The shoes themselves are bad enough, but the complete lack of parental supervision that always seems to accompany them is unbelievably aggravating.

86. I totally agree!
We had to ban them in my school because kids were FLYING down the hallways. I can't believe no one has gotten really hurt yet.

98. They are so annoying and dangerous.
Anyway, Colts fan, I'm originally from Indiana too. I grew up in Yorktown outside Muncie and my dad lives in Indy. After the whole Artest debacle, my dad officially became a Pistons fan in exchange for my pledge of loyalty to the Colts. Not like the Lions are much to give up!

61. For starters, walkie-talkie cell phones.
They should not be used by people outside of law enforcement, emergency/rescue work, security, or construction.

Nextel's commercials featuring said walkie-talkie phones with infernal beeping. Evil, evil corporation. EVIL.

People who ram cell phone conversations/rings/audio/video down the throats of everyone within earshot.

Pairing winter coats with FLIP-FLOPS. What the hell is wrong with people?

Torture made chic by films and TV. A generation is growing up believing it works and is a U.S. government policy, and/or a form of entertainment. :puke:

79. A woman on M Street in DC last Saturday....
...made the whole freakin' neighborhood listen to her conversation with a child on the other end of the line. She was using that honeyed, sing-songy voice people use to talk to little ones and was saying things like "I love you." I'm enough of a smart-ass to have been tempted to call out "But we hardly know each other!" as she went past.

87. I like to reply to their conversation!
E.g.:

IDIOT WITH HEADSET PHONE: So I figure I'll be there at 3:00.

HAND: Three? Yeah, that works for me. Wait--can we make it 3:30?

IWHP: We need to talk about the arrangements for (blah blah).

H: I thought YOU were doing that!

etc., etc. It cracks up the passersby and IWHP rarely has the slightest idea what's going on!

75. just iPods
mostly i am just sick of people who "can't live without" something that we've all gotten along just fine without over the last 100,000 years or so...and it's just another means to further isolate people from each other, even in public, making any idea or life of community a shell of it's former self; in short, it pulls people apart

of course i am mostly being cynical and overstating and overexaggerating...but mostly serious too

83. Speaking of iPods and those things....
You have them stuck in your ears and you can't hear what's going on around you. Girls, some freak could come up behind you, choke you and drag you off. Be careful.

Don't roll your eyes, I know of someone this happened to. She was in the hospital because of this rape and he got away and is still at large.

100. None...
It's what creates those fond memories for people 30 yrs down the road. It's what makes the decades memorable. Our parents were complaining about the same things in the 60's & 70's. I'm glad they didn't have the power to change things and I wouldn't want to do it now.

104. Banning it would just make it more appealing...
But I really wish little kids could spend more time being little kids instead of being encouraged to find a partner by the time they're 12. And I wish that instead of pushing kids to prepare for college from preschool, that the focus would be on inspiring them to enjoy learning for the rest of their lives.
