Every time some scum child rapist is caught, a few vocal people have to insist that child rape laws or prosecutions are bad.

The rape threads are really something else. Those are, from what I've seen, the ones that have driven away the most good posters from this site (although threads about immigration and migrant laborers have also pushed more than a few folks away from here, unfortunately).

It becomes very personal, then loyalties start to kick in and there is a group dynamic there that makes things very contentious.

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the President his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, three Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

Us non-breeders secretly hate the rest of y'all for having children, donchaknow? We wanna see the rest of youse sterilized so we don't have to put up with your kids...all of whom should be shot in the face with a bazooka before being drowned in the swimming pool. (While this is intentionally-extreme for the purpose of parody. It's not that far off some of what has been accused of the intentionally-child-free by otherwise rational DU'ers.)

Actually, all I want is to be able to play on the McDonald's playground without all the mother-breeders looking at me like I'm a pedo. Dammit, I was there long before their kids were even conceptualized. (kidding.)

Really, I'd like to not have your baby foisted upon me. (Yes, parents do this. Then they tell you that you're wrong because you say that you don't want to look at or hold their baby.) I'd also like to be able to go to R-rated movies and $20-entree ****-restaurants without being subjected your toddler WHO DOESN'T BELONG THERE ANYWAYS. And I'm not an awful person for telling your 8-year-old that I would prefer to not have an enlightening conversation about G.I. Joe or Barbie...I'd much prefer to be left alone.
