I was watching an old Sex and the City episode when Carrie is single and is 'dating the city'. I loved the end when she was dancing with is HOT sailor during fleet week. They are talking and he says something like "how can you live here?". Carrie says good night and flirts with him a bit and walks away. In the voice over, Carrie says "I didn't like someone talking shit about my boyfriend".

That's the same way I felt about SF. When I lived there, I was in love with the city. I would say that I, like Carrie dated the city.

While I love LA and we have a great life here, San Francisco will always be in my heart and soul. I still consider myself a San Franciscan even if I only lived there for 15 years.

20. New River State Park in Southwest Virginia

It's a sixty mile bike trail on an old railroad track. I love going up there and need to return soon

It begins near the NC / Tenn border and goes to West Virginia

It's a very long river with very diverse conditions. The part in West Virginia has the serious whitewater, other parts of it are Class 1, perfect for long afternoons in canoes with lots of beer. Stones are optional :)Here's another pic of it:

28. In W. VA, how far is the New from Gauley?

I know it seems odd to hear people planning vacations in West Virginia, but they have some absolutely CLASSIC runs of whitewater.

It looks like I've got a few couches lined up in Colorado this summer, so I think I'm going there. Plus Manitoba and all my local stuff of course.
