1. I couldn't tell if it was the Olive Garden or Cracker Barrel.
How incredibly pathetic.

Wonder how many times he asked for more salad?

6. I eat alone often
and yes, I have done so at the Olive Garden...

... but you know, I don't know if you're really alone when you've got a good book.

12. Another "loser" alone at Olive Garden

:hi:

Yup, when I travel by myself it usually is Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden or some version thereof. Since when I'm doing this I'm usually pulling a 6 horse rig with a big mothafuckin' truck, I need a BIG parking lot and a salad very quickly so the horses aren't kicking the shit out of the trailer.

And I don't usually even have a book with me (I listen to the ones on tape when I travel so I don't usually keep my book near me in the truck) since I am usually trying to get out of there verrry quickly.

17. I don't often do much long-distrance driving
but I always keep a book in the car. If I'm picking someone up and they're running late, or waiting at the doctor's office, if I decide to stop for a bite, if I'm headed to the laundromat.... I think having a book at the ready is vital. One needs to make the most of one's "down time"

19. Oh I do that when I'm not travelling
I've taught this sinfully delicious habit to my oldest daughter now too! She's a reading freak like me (us!) although she's still a student so even Olive Garden is out of her price range. When she's at home, it's coffee at Caribou alone with her book.

Well, aside from his dream of a hot date with TeenMidlo.
