Stupid electronics/electricity question; a 27" LCD TV uses much less electricity than a 27" CRT?
Is that true, and is it worth the price?

1. Not sure without manufacturers data
However,compare the amps or wattage listed on the tv.The one with the lower wattage or amps will be using less power.

2. True
An LCD display uses a lot less power than a CRT of similar size. LCDs are also much lighter. Picture quality-wise, I don't think that LCDs have caught up with the very best CRTs yet.
