Clean Up On Aisle 5 !!!

The lounge is in disarray and needs to be cleaned up!

Somebody made a mess on aisle 5.

There are messes all over the main lobby.

Someone said recently it needs an enema, I don't think that is the case.

We need civility...

I mean, I know this is the lounge, and that we goof and play, and say things we wouldn't say other places on DU...

Lately I've seen people I like being hurt, by people I like...

I think we all need a big :grouphug:

I mean, we all have more in common than we don't have in common...

Am I preaching to the choir here? Will there be crickets from this post?

I'm tired of seeing people leave because they are hurt here...

1. i agree that we need some civility here sometimes

i know that we're all not going to be friends, but i see no reason for some of the nastiness that goes on here.

there are people that i might not be fond of (whether it is here or elsewhere) but if i don't like them, i just don't talk to them. that, imho, is part of being an adult.

that said, i think we are generally good people with emotions that occasionally get the better of us, just as happens irl.

10. I like the fact that liberals are free thinkers and opinionated

but you don't expect so much dissension in here, and not over such little, meaningless things. I believe in the slogan - "Live and let live", and I think everyone should take a few minutes before they post something and ask themselves if their words are inflammatory and if feelings could be hurt. You don't have to be a lap dog, just be careful with the rhetoric. Just my opinion -- based on observation :grouphug:
