2. Uhm "ink cartridge" is not a euphemism for "hooker".
Sorry.

5. I don't see why not, and it's under extended warranty anyway for another.
7 months. :D

I'm trying to buy less via the internet these days and maybe by 2008 another store will come in that sells the cartridges.

7. My editor/boss bought a shitload of ink online and her printer broke a month later.
SO...she bought a rebuilt one online, and that broke down last week.

8. Stuff can happen...
But knowing how quickly stocks have been dropping at CompUSA, I opted to take the risk and stock up. It's been a good printer (more reliable than the HP ever was!) and there's that warranty to boot. If it happens it happens, but I don't think anything will happen so soon.

10. Epson Stylus Photo r2400, but I almost bought the 1800...
The 1800 uses a 2nd generation pigment ink -- don't read that wrong, the 1800 is a successor to the 2200, which used a 1st generation ink and had fewer color cartridges...

I went with the 2400 because of its exceptional b/w quality; which isn't as good in the 1800 (the 2400 has 3 cartridges devoted to grayscale, so naturally it would be the superior choice for b/w)...

The r1800:

12. I had an Epsom once. It lasted forever.
Only reason I have an HP is it was given to me.

6. Not if you knew which printer I use...
:D

Epson Stylus Photo r2400.

Best corporate quality pigment-based printer ever made and sold, IMHO.

13. A long time user of Epsons, it definitely does.
:)

And I keep my eyes open at the competition as well, but Epson is still the best for any number of reasons...
