Circumstances regarding freedom of speech and lack thereof here at DU have left me with no option but to leave.

I don't know the details, nor do I care to know them. My only point was that DU "swan songs" don't tend to have long-lasting effects. Usually, it's because of a perceived insult to one's self and/or one's friend/partner. Odds are that when someone stops being upset, they will start posting again. I didn't mean for my original post to be an insult of any sort. (As a matter of fact, I quite enjoy the posts of the OP)
