Man, I can't get any work done

It's the end of the school year, it's really nice outside, and I'm listening to some music that makes me think about this particular girl who is, unfortunately, hundreds of miles away in another country. At least I wrote the better part of a paper last night.

3. I should have mentioned that it's senior year

and that I already got accepted to grad school. I'm not high, although maybe I should be drinking at this point :P

4. where you going for grad school?

I'm like the only person in my circle who isn't either going into med school or a PhD program--Im going to either be a scientist or an educator post-college.

5. I don't know yet

but I did get into a couple of places so far so I know I'll be going somewhere, even somewhere good, actually... but I'm keeping it all under my hat until I hear from more places.

I'm writing two papers right now. One of them, which is finished except for the conclusion, is on the role of military intelligence in the Six-Day-War. The last time I turned a paper in for that class (on inteligence and the Pearl Harbor debacle) I got it back for the lowest grade I've ever gotten on a paper with remarks about how it wasn't relevant to the course material. I challeneged it and got my mark raised by 10%. This time to make sure the same thing doesn't happen again, I'm concluding most of my paragraphs with "this is relevant to intelligence because..." so the dumb TA doesn't miss the point.

The second paper is currently 17 pages long, covering the topic of Russian foreign policy in the Balkans between 1865 and 1885. The second half is going to cover the same topic in the WWII and late Stalinist eras. That one should be pretty good when I'm done, but I'll get to work on it manyana. I suppose I might as well read my assignments, then.

6. Damn. I suppose you're a history major?

I'm a bio/english major, and the paper I'm writing is for my Humor class. I'm writing about how Carlos Mencia and Dave Chappelle use ethnic humor.

7. History/International Relations double major

minor in political science. I coulda had a minor in economics too, but the damn department wants everybody to take calculus. Yeah, right...

Humor sounds good now. Did you see that video where Joe Drogan (I think) was confronting Mencia for stealing jokes? It sure didn't make Mencia look good. Basically I see him as a cheap imitation of the masters, Tim Meadows and Chapelle (whose decision to end his show made me cry inside).

2. I have to memorize the structure and function of 4 invertebrate's anatomies for a test.

Earthworm, Crayfish, Clam, and Starfish and I have no motivation. Im looking for anything to distract me.
