Ah, nuts! My wife got laid off Friday.

She waited until today to tell me.

She's in the mortgage business, and with the interest rates going up there's very little work.

She'll be paid until the end of the month and then get UE, so we'll be OK for a while.

She's handling it OK. It'll be a chance for her to take a break and then look for something better.

And hung out with my folks Saturday, so it was sweet of her to hold off with the news. She was able to unload on her mom Saturday so at least it wasn't all pent up.
