1 box devil's food cake mix 1 stick butter, melted 1 egg 1/4 C. water 2 tsp. vanilla 1 and 1/2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chunks
about 1 C. white chocolate chips for glaze
preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix all ingredients except chocolate chunks and white chocolate chips for about one minute or until well-blended. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chunks. Drop by spoonfuls onto lightly-sprayed cookie sheets. Recipe said it made about 24 but I found it made about 32; 24 makes HUGE cookies! Bake for about 12 minutes until puffed and set (they'll sink after they cool). Cool for a few minutes and then transfer to continue cooling (I use cut-up and flattened grocery store bags for final cooling)
Once cookies are cool, put the white chocolate chips into a zip top bag and nuke until you can knead the chips into a smooth icing. Cut a teensy tip off one corner of the bag and drizzle the white chocolate over the cookies. TRY not to eat them all at one sitting.
WAY yummy!

2. Never mixed up a batch of cookies so quick in my life. They are really |

tasty! It's from the latest issue of "Women's Day" magazine; they had the most amazing array of chocolate heavenliness on the front cover, and this is the first one I have tried of the 8 or so recipes in that section.
There's a three-layer cheesecake with chocolate cookie crust recipe that's next on the list!

4. Are they? Good to know! I will have to try those after I try the cheesecake |
|
If it's got chocolate in it, and it hasn't been messed up with raisins, I like it!

I didn't have hazelnuts so I just added extra pecans & cashews in their place.
I'm with you on the chocolate without raisins. Nuts go with chocolate, not raisins!
That cheesecake looked good too. I'm waiting until I have company at Easter to try it.
